Here is the heart and soul of the suits. The cups represent water. The flow of feelings and emotions that run through us. The joy of the flow and the need to address old issues. Emotions like water need to keep moving not become stagnant and stale.
Ace
Upright: A new relationship. Love and compassion. Celebration. Fertility and birth.
Reversed: Blocked or repressed emotions. Unrequited love. Sadness and Grief.
Two
Upright: Union. A couple. Mutual respect and connection. Harmony and balance.
Reversed: Disharmony, break-up/ disruption in relationships. Imbalance and equality.
Three
Upright: Friendship and community. Celebration, collaboration and creativity. Festivities and gatherings.
Reversed: Cancelled celebrations. Lack of support group. Over-indulgence, gossip.
